Discounted Military/ Police Total Package- Two Weeks to Operational Tracking Online Courses Phases 1-10
This course the full online program based on Jeff Schettler's hit K9 training manual, Two Weeks to Operational Tracking. Phases 1-10. Jeff is the author of five books on tracking and trailing and has written over 100 articles on the subject for various training magazines. He has over 25 years of tracking/ trailing experience and trains in upwards of 200 dogs a year world wide. Jeff is the sole source trainer for trailing for the Department of Defense as a civilian contractor. Jeff's system is literally sweeping the world by storm and is being taught on every continent.
This course includes Phases 1-10 of Jeff's power point programs for rural to urban tracking/ trailing, plus all tactical elements. Jeff's system is a natural training method using the dogs innate skills at tracking scent. Skills that are hardwired into the dog at birth and not something that can be replicated by humans. Jeff's philosophy is that we cannot train a dog to track as it already has this capability as soon as it crawling shortly after birth. If anything, human interpretation of this ability is often skewed and many training styles are often contradictory to Canid tracking instinct. Our job as handlers is to harness this natural ability and teach the dog to trail/ track in a variety of environments and to stay focused on one target at a time; scent discrimination.
The Tactical version of this program is designed to teach program managers how to integrate combat and tactical operators with the tracking dog team, counter evasions tactics, counter ambush, and how to deal with booby traps and IED's while tracking.
Each class is approximately 2-2.5 hours long based on Q&A time after the powerpoint. The PowerPoint includes videos and diagrams of actual training exercises for each phase. Post presentation, Jeff will be available for up to 2 individual Q&A emails per student. Jeff's book is recommended reading prior to the class but not mandatory.
